Invite your team and assign roles

Bring collaborators into your workspace with the right role for the job — invites, role changes, and revocations all live in Settings.

Team collaboration is part of the Team plan. Once you’re on it, you can invite people by email, give each person a role, and manage everything from Settings → Team.

02The five roles

Roles are enforced server-side — what a role can’t do, it can’t do, regardless of what buttons someone tries.

  • Owner — full control of the workspace
  • Admin — manages the team and can approve and publish changes
  • Approver — reviews editors’ change requests and approves or rejects them
  • Editor — makes changes, which wait for approval before going live
  • Viewer — can look around without changing anything

03Invite someone

  1. Open Settings → Team.
  2. Enter the person’s email address and choose their role.
  3. Send the invite.
  4. Change roles later from the same screen, or revoke an invite that hasn’t been accepted yet.
TipGive people the least role that does the job — you can always promote an Editor to Approver later.
